North Central Aggregates was founded in 2024 by Greg Kolodziej as a custom aggregates processing business.  Greg hails from the Northwoods of Wisconsin where he grew up in and around a family portable processing company and has been around mining and aggregates his entire life, with extensive experience in nearly every type of construction aggregates materials including  hard rock, limestone, recycle, and sand and gravel.

 

After obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University, Greg embarked on exciting ventures in the mining industry with several companies allowing him to work around the United States, Canada, and South America. He has been lucky enough to have been featured in several industry articles through the years representing himself and projects he has spearheaded.

 

Greg and his wife, Christina in 2023 made the leap of faith to begin the acquisition of Greg’s legacy family company,  Iron River Sand and Gravel. Along the way, the decision was made to adapt a new name sake more representative of the larger geological footprint that the company is aiming to service, and thus North Central Aggregates was born.

 

Within the mining industry is a strong base of knowledge, faith, and values. Greg values the interpersonal relationships he has built in the mining industry, common sense safety, and strong knowledge base which are shown most prevalently in small companies.   It is our mission to create a company that shows all of these core values.  We have sculpted this company around building a strong team,  providing top quality products, and top notch services to our customers.
